Do you have what it takes

to be a Domestic Angel?

Read over this information about the house cleaning positions:

At Domestic Angels, we sub-contract all of our cleanings. This just means that we set you up to be self employed. What we do is provide you with all of your clients as well as the ‘Domestic Angel's recommended policies, procedures and guidelines’ to make the cleaning ‘hassle free’ for the clients. We will provide you with a schedule and a log page so that you would be able keep up with your mileage. At the end of the year we will give you a 1099 form so you will be able to file your taxes. Although taxes are not deducted from your weekly check, you usually do not have to pay in taxes at all, because of your deductions. This does depend on the tax bracket your household may fall under.

Your deductions will be gas, cleaning supplies, and anything else you may use for this position (clothing or shoes you purchase for this job, cell phone usage from calling the office or your clients, Etc.). Most of your clients will provide a house vacuum, however you do need one just in case if the client’s vacuum is broken or it is a move in cleaning and the home is empty. We will try our best to keep you within 30 minutes of your home.

We are licensed, bonded and insured, which is the reason most homeowners feel more at ease working through a company. Also it means that you would be under our insurance policy just in case you accidentally damage something. We know that isn’t likely to happen, however it is still good to be insured.

We do a thorough criminal background check for various reasons. The main reason being that we don't want to send out anyone into our client's homes that we would not feel comfortable with in our own homes. Also you have to have a good record for insurance purposes.

It takes a very special person to clean for and service others. You have to have a polite, willful, professional outlook for this job. Cleaning is a job where you need to be a healthy, open minded, and fast paced person. For this particular position you need to be able to communicate well with others. Clients will need to be able to feel comfortable speaking to you about their needs.

Since we are a ‘customized’ cleaning company, we do things most other services don’t, such as: light laundry, ironing, running the dishwasher, and, changing linens, Etc. Of course this would all have to be specially requested by the client, but we feel like it is their block of time and they may choose to use the service in whatever way they need, as long as it is within reason.

We do not clean for homes that have extreme conditions such as, but not limited too: animal feces and/or urination in various spots throughout the home, construction cleans (picking up lumber, drywall, nails, Etc.), unsanitary conditions, Etc. Since we don’t do walk through estimates, you are the first person to see the home, we trust your judgment. If you feel uncomfortable cleaning for a particular home, we ask that you politely excuse yourself and call us to let us know what is going on and we’ll take care of the uncomfortable portion of calling the client to discuss the situation. We will pay you for your time.

Also, if a client ever at any point makes you feel uncomfortable, or they are rude to you, you are under no obligation to continue working for them. We just ask that you communicate the situation with the office staff.

Our office staff is very open to your concerns and needs. We will typically work with people who may want to work certain hours in the week, or certain days of the week. We have a policy here that we go by: “Treat all of ‘Domestic Angel’s’ with the same respect as we treat our clients!” We firmly uphold this policy.

If this seems like something that you may be interested in please pursue this opportunity by taking the following steps:

1.) Call 615-331-6015, and listen to the message in its entirety (it has great information on it about what our clients expect), then dial 0 to speak with an attendant.

2.) You will need to be prepared to let us know whether you will be working full or part time.

a.)   Full time: 30 to 36 hours per week or 2 cleans per day, Monday through Friday.

b.)  Part time: 15 to 29 hours per week, on specific days of the week or one a day each day.

We look forward to hearing from you! Good Luck on becoming our next ‘Domestic Angel’!
